Paris Heimlich Project
Who are we?
Troop 35 is comprised of 6 members: four girls: Emily C, Vicky F, Simone G and Lily P, and two leaders: Kim and Ainsleigh. The troop formed in 2010, as a second-year Daisy Troop and the girls have received a number of awards since then: the Brownie Summit award as second-year Brownies, the Bronze Award as second-year Juniors and the Presedential Service Award as first year Cadettes. Now, as third-year Cadettes, the girls have been working all year on earning the Silver Award.
About Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts was created in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low. She created it after visiting a friend in Britain and learning about Girl Guides.
Girl Scouts builds leadership, courage, confidence and character, from Kindergarden all the way to 12th grade. Throughout Girl Scouts, the girls can earn many awards: multiple Summit awards, Community Service awards, First Aid, and the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
About the Silver Award
The Silver Award is the highest award that a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. It requires completing a Journey, then spending 50 hours on working on your project. Your project needs to do a service to Girl Scout and the community, and it needs to be sustainable.
